Vintage Bakelite King Pyramid model 162 Telephone refurbished 1930s

The King Pyramid phone was introduced in 1929. This phone has a bellset fitted in the base. It was made in the 1930s for the Post Master Generals Department (the P.M.G.). It has a cloth covered handet cord. The phone is very heavy weighing 3.5 kg.

This is a rare vintage phone. It has been cleaned and refurbished and is good mechanical order.The bells ring lound and clear, and transmission is good. It is good example of a working 75 year old telephone.

Dials decadic, it will not dial DTMF tones that you use for voicemail/call centres etc. However it dials telephone numbers fine, information on decadic here.

This phone has been refurbished . The bakelite black telephone comes with a standard telecom 605 plug you may need an adaptor here or other adaptors here , you may need an ADSL filter, information on ADSL with retro phones here)
